Home solar is taking off in Mauritius

Under the Solar Photovoltaic Scheme (Households) 2026, the CEB lets homeowner households install solar panels (with a battery above 3.5 kWp), receive a 25% grant capped at Rs 75,000, and choose between two payment modes: gross metering (all your production sold to the CEB at Rs 4.83/kWh) and net metering (your production offsets your bill, and the surplus is bought at Rs 3.00/kWh). The right choice depends on your consumption, which is exactly what our calculator compares.
